The rationale behind discussion forums is to generate discussion among your classmates that would typically occur during group activities or class discussions held on-campus. Thus, students are expected to submit five of the six main posts and reply to at least two peer posts for the five weeks they select to participate in. Main posts should be about 250+ words. At the bottom of every discussion forum, state your word count.

Instructions: Search the Internet for one of the many humorously intended illustrations of the male and female brain. Upload your finding to your main post for the class to see; however, please do not post any vulgar or obscene material. If students are found posting vulgar or obscene material, then their post will be taken down and students may get reported to the Mt. SAC Student Life Office.

Task #2: Answer the following prompt in its entirety:

Discuss: What stories about men and women does the image you found attempt to tell?
Using what you now know about the science of neurology, how might cartoons like these be critiqued?
Consider socialization, implicit associations, research on gender difference and similarity, brain plasticity, hormonal feedback, average versus categorical differences, the personal exception theory of gender, and other relevant ideas to provide evidence for your argument.
Define and discuss at least two course concepts from the assigned chapter to support your statements.
