Todays assignment is composed of three sections:
Section 1 :
For each of the four representations of the Last Judgment you have studied, explain how faithful the artist is in painting this religious scene. What is traditional? What is purely innovative? Make sure to be specific in your answer.
Section 2 :
Which representation of the Last Judgment do you think is the most convincing? Feel free to express your own thoughts.
Section 3 :
Find a modern representation of the Last Judgment (created between 1700 and today). Explain briefly why you selected that particular work. Make sure to identify it properly and to provide an illustration.
Your paper should be between 600 and 800 words. It should INCLUDE FOOTNOTES that give credit to the sources you used, a bibliography and illustrations. thank you!
