All students are required to complete one (1) research paper by the designated due date. The length of the paper must be three to five (4-6) pages and address a topic that has significantly affected the development of Western Civilization from prehistoric times to 1750 CE.
Selections must come from an area that is relevant to the time period of this course. If you have any questions about your topic, please contact me right away to discuss it.
The paper is to be written in the following manner.
I. INTRODUCTION
Define your topic and place it in a perspective that explains its significance; an insightful thesis MUST be included i.e. chronology, sequence, magnitude, uniqueness, etc.
II) BODY
In this section you will explain and analyze the key facets and impact that the topic has had on the development of Western Civilization from prehistoric times to 1750 CE.
III) CONCLUSION
Summary of the presentation.
IV) WORKS CITED PAGE (not a counted page)
List all references used according to the style presented in an approved writing style manual or publication. The MLA writing style must be used.
