School Demographics

Each student is expected and required to actualize the following assignments in order to successfully complete the course. There are no exceptions to this requirement.

Students from low-income households are most likely to struggle with academic engagement throughout their education. In class, we extensively discussed Social justice including socioeconomic factors that affect childrens learning. In addressing this challenge, a federally assisted meal program operating in public and nonprofit private schools and residential childcare institutions as established under the National School Lunch Act, signed by President Harry Truman in 1946. It provides nutritionally balanced, low-cost, or free lunches to children each school day.

To conclude and enhance our discussion on the impact of socioeconomic in local schools, you will identify the demography and cultural data for a school of your choice. The demography must include with it an item analysis and/or narrative of the data collected, as well as the illustrations of the data represented in a chart and/or graph. A form entitled: Multicultural Survey of Current Field Experience. Among the information you will share in your narrative, you will discuss the importance of knowing the demographical data and the impact of this data on different socio-cultural contexts.
