Public Opinion Polls

Many scholars believe that public opinion polls provide useful information on how the public feels about certain issues. The purpose of this assignment is to help students interpret polls/surveys and learn what the American people think about their issue. For this assignment, students are to find a public survey related to their topic (Immigration).

Students are to write a 2-3 page essay (not including reference page) discussing the following:

Who funded the survey? If there were specific people who did the study, who were they and what is their institutional affiliation (what university or research institute or government office, and so forth)?
When was the survey conducted?
Describe your survey. Be specific.
How many individuals were surveyed? (Sample Size?) The margin of Error?
What questions were asked?
How does the survey relate to your topic/solution (stated in Assignment 4.4)? Be Specific.
Use at least 2 course concepts.
Concepts must be highlighted and cited.
Remember this paper should be in ESSAY format. Since you are using information from a website, you MUST CITE it. Please include a reference page at the end of your essay.
