This forum has 4 parts; one is about connecting concepts from Ch. 11 to your life; one is on the article “The New Science of Happiness” one related to the “Q&A with Martin Seligman”, and a final section that is an APA style reference page. After reading the chapter and each article, answer these questions below. All answers should be in your own voice, words, sentence structure, etc..and show deep learning; ie, no direct quotes at all. Don’t just say you learned about something; describe it and explain what exactly it is you learned about it. Your answer should a minimum 1,000 words total (not per question or per section). Going over word count is totally fine! For this forum, you will incorporate an APA style in-text citation for each of the 3 sources in the first question of each section.
After you have answered all of these questions for each section, enter a new line and type what the APA style references for all 3 sources would look like on a reference page. NOTE: For formatting, you cite your textbook like a book with one author, the Time articles should be cited following the format for a magazine (the page numbers for the article “The New Science of Happiness” are 22-25 and the date is at the bottom of pg. 2) and the Q&A should be cited following APA format for citing web pages.
VERY IMPORTANT: please be sure you label your sections following the format I give below in the questions; please number your answers and hit enter between each question to help me with so much on-screen reading. If you fail to follow directions, there will be a point deduction
Here are the questions for the forum
Part 1: Application of textbook
Essentials of Understanding Psychology 13 edition by Robert S. Feldman
1. From each module, select any 1 concept or idea from Ch. 11 on stress that you see most readily in your life; 1 from each module means you’ll talk about 3 in total. For each idea or concept, define and explain it in your own words and then explicitly explain how the concept is most applicable or view in your life. I am looking for you to synthesize your learning from the text to your own life. Remember to give an APA style in-text citation for the textbook here.
Please be sure you label the modules (34, 35, & 36) and hit enter between each concept.
Part 2: The New Science of Happiness Article
Give a comprehensive overview of the article, making sure you address the key points made throughout the article as well as some supporting details. Give your APA style in-text citation here.
Discuss your reaction to the article. Did you like it? Hate it? Why? What is one part of the article that really stuck out to you, that resonated with you or made you go, “hmmm.” There is no right or wrong here but I am looking to see that you read the article so be sure you connect your opinion back to the article.
Remembering that psychology is a science, select one research study that the article discusses. Tell us about it in your own words. What did they do and what they did find out?
The article suggests 8 ways to make your life happier. Choose two and discuss how you could implement them in your life. Discuss what each strategy is and why you selected it.
