This assignment is to write a formal letter to a Texas public official (e.g. Texas State Senator, Texas House Representative, San Antonio/Bexar County Judge, Mayor, Governor, etc) on a policy issue of concern to you. Do NOT prepare a letter to a public official that currently represents Texas in the U.S. Congress (e.g. Joaquin Castro, Will Hurd, Ted Cruz, John Cornyn, etc) or any other national political institution! In this letter, you will urge your chosen official to support OR not support a proposed bill, existing law, or change in public policy.
