Is there a particular modality you don’t like? Is there a different therapeutic approach not covered in class that you feel drawn to?

Both in lecture and in the textbook, you have seen a number of different approaches to therapy including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), interpersonal psychotherapy (IPT), psychodynamic psychotherapy, and experiential therapies, one of which is emotion-focused therapy (EFT). Which of these therapies most appeals to you? Is there one you would most like as a client? What about as a therapist? Is there a particular modality you don’t like? Is there a different therapeutic approach not covered in class that you feel drawn to? Feel free to explore these or any other questions about your thoughts on these different approaches to therapy.
