Drawing on the course content, submit a minimum 2-page double spaced research proposal in support of your final paper. Proposal must be double spaced and provide a clear thesis with a minimum of 4 sources cited in support of thesis.

1.Identify the specific offending population (i.e. sexual offenders, aboriginal offenders, mentally disordered offenders) that your strategy concerns and then use empirical research to describe this offending population (i.e. prevalence, offender characteristics, recidivism rates) 2.Based on your research describe how each of the central eight risk factors identified by Andrews and Bonta apply (or not) to your offending population 3.Address how you would best assess risk in this offending population (i.e. unstructured clinical, actuarial, structured clinical/adjusted actuarial).
