The essay in the class will focus on Richard E. Nisbetts book The Geography of Thought. Choose one of the essay topics below and write an 1,500-2,000 word essay. You must use at least six (6) sources, and one of your sources must be Nisbetts book. The sources must be formatted according to the 8th edition of the MLA Handbook.
Pick a problem in the United States today like climate change, income inequality, immigration, health care, education, etc. Then write an essay examining the problem from an eastern perspective. How does the nature of the problem change when looking at it from non-western eyes? Does this perspective offer a solution to the problem that would not otherwise be apparent?
