Go to Project Implicit website (https://implicit.harvard.edu/implicit/). You will see an area where you can set the language (there is an American flag). Select the language you would like and click the orange Go! Read the disclosures and click I wish to proceed at the bottom of the page. You will not be required to disclose your personal results.
You should select and complete the Weapons IAT. (This website is live and can be updated. If Weapons IAT is not functioning when you use it, simply select another race-based IAT such as Race IAT, Native IAT, Skin-tone IAT, or Asian IAT.) Complete the survey and get your results. At the end of the survey, you will also see data about how most people responded to the survey. Answer the following questions:
How do most people do on the IAT?
How can you relate this finding (as you summarized in question 1) to what you learned about media representations of criminals?
Do you have any concerns with how the IAT works? In your answer, make sure to read the description of how the test works and the order effects discussed on the final page of the study.
