Unit III Introduction
For this unit, we will discuss and describe a painting. You will select a painting from an online museum and discuss it with your classmates by recording a blog post. Please use the CSU Art Appreciation LibGuide to locate an online museum in which to find your painting.

The CSU Art Appreciation LibGuide is a great resource for this course. A full list of online museums is located in the Art Appreciation LibGuide under Web Resources. To use the CSU Library LibGuide, first click on the CSU Online Library located under Student Resources in your CSU Home screen. Scroll down and click on College of Arts and Sciences toward the bottom left side. Select Art Appreciation, the first bullet point listed. Multiple tabs are displayed under Art Appreciation: Introduction, select Web Resources. On the Web Resources page, a list of online art museums will be listed on the right side of the screen.

After you select a painting, you will describe it using one of the approaches from the Study Guide (technical, historical, or observational). Be sure to state which of the three approaches you are using to discuss your painting and end your discussion of the painting with a question for your classmates to answer. After you record and post your discussion, please respond to another students blog post. When submitting your blog post, please include an image of the artwork and a script of your discussion. Be sure to use proper grammar, full sentences, citations, and references in your script.

Im really excited to hear what you have to say about different paintings.

Sources used, including the textbook, must be properly cited and referenced.

If you have trouble using citations, or are worried about formatting, there is a solution. CSU has combined all of the most used aspects of APA citations and arranged it in a way that is comprehensive and easy to navigate. The guide is located in Citation Resources under the Learning Resources page. If you decide to download the PDF, be sure to check that you are using the most current version, since they could amend it. http://www.columbiasouthern.edu/downloads/pdf/success/Citation-Guide

Here is the proper formatting of the citation for the course textbook that is to be included among your References:
