Back in the exploration discussion for Unit 3, I asked you to identify a political issue that you care about, what your position on that issue is, and why you care so much about it. Go back to that exploration discussion on the bulletin board and take a look at what you wrote. Then come back to this discussion. Now, assume you are the President of the United States. What would you DO about your issue? In other words, what public policy would you suggest to help address it? For instance, if you were concerned about the deterioration of the environment from global warming to the continued existence of weapons of mass destruction what as President would you do about it? Given what you have learned in this course, what obstacles would you face in trying to get support for your policy and for implementing it successfully so it actually had an impact on your issue? Your answer should be approximately two pages.
