Here are the instructions for this assignment:
Choose a topic in psychology that is of interest to you and that is discussed in your textbook or has been discussed in class. This is the part you will complete during Orientation Week as the Literature Review Topic assignment.
Conduct a review of the psychological literature that has been written regarding your topic:
Choose at least three sources of information: One must be your textbook. Two sources of information can be articles from scholarly journals that you have found in the library databases, library books, or other valid research articles that you find online. You must use your textbook to anchor your paper and use your remaining references as supplements. Please make sure your supplemental sources of information are in synchrony with the information in your textbook. This ensures that the information you gather regarding your topic is based on sound research.
Write a summary of what you learned about your topic in a seven-page, double-spaced paper.
The format of your paper should look like this:
Format a title page, using APA format. This will be the first page of your paper. Help with APA format can be found at https://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/560/01/ (Links to an external site.)
Starting on the second page, state your choice of topic.
In your own words, describe your topic and why it is important to our society and/or world to study this topic.
In your own words, describe what your sources of information stated regarding your topic.
The body of your paper should be at least five full pages in length, not including the title page and the references page.
Finally, the seventh page of your review should be a references page, using APA format.
